i have always blogged about my friends or myself but today i want to give special mention to someone whom i never expected to blog about. i used to think that my brother was an apathetic and ignorant young boy with raging hormones and to be truthful, i never thought much of him. he enlisted recently and i thought this was a good chance for some peace and quiet at home. however, the stories my mother tell of him everyday have left me deeply touched from the bottom of my heart. perhaps in face of bad times people show their true self, or maybe it is human nature to judge people ever so quickly while looking at only one side of the coin. i'm ashamed to admit that this time round, i'm the ignorant one. kudos to the new found respect for my brother.
