i was desperately trying to teach them how to play dota because they are people who don't know where to buy boots of speed or combine recipes. so i'm going to take some time to explain some dota terms for the good of everyone reading this. lan-ning = the act of playing computer games at lan (local area network) shops. it is not the same as dota-ing because you can play other games besides dota at a lanshop. warcraft 3 = the game made by blizzard. it is a RTS (real time strategy) game where you build bases and train up an army to destroy your opponents' bases. dota = defense of the ancients. it is NOT the same as warcraft 3. it is a custom game map designed by people who are not from blizzard. it gained mass popularity and is now one of the WCG (as ching requested, WCG = world cyber games. she can be editor of this article) games. roshan = the big purple rock golem anyone can kill in dota. you get an Aegis of the Immortal when he dies and every player on the team that killed it gets +200 gold as well. eaglehorn/sacred relic = items bought from secret shops. they cost a lot of gold as well. runes = power-ups you can get from the river in dota. it spawns at certain times and gives random bonuses like double damage or haste or illusions. hahaha i decided to write this because during dinner at iguana, ching and her very hot friend were discussing about all these computer game lingo and couldn't make heads or tails of it. anyway i joined ching and many of her friends for dinner because there wasn't any at home. i had chicken fujitas which was so-so, the one at holland v is definitely much better cause got free flow of chips also! and the chicken got sauce one. xtine and abel dropped by after their ramen dinner at central which was very nice because i got people to talk to :) ![]() ![]() i went with xtine to barfly after dinner cause she wanted to look for yoggi. i ordered a pussy foot cause xtine had to drive and she also not a good drinker. it was fucking awesome, the orange juice and pineapple juice were freshly squeezed one still got froth on top! the music's pretty good too, just a bit too loud. its hard to find a place thats not packed and still can chillout on a saturday night. was damn tempted to club but luckily ching had to go back early and xtine drove or else tmr no need to wake up already. we walked past Nectarie which has DAMN NICE LOOKING cakes and my stomach worms were going ecstasical inside me. i've been listening to dave pearce's trance music which is pretty damn good and wow this is like the longest post i've ever written in my life. jia qing | 2:24 AM |
