went to play mj with shiqin and her cousin and friend after tuition. i've never played real mj before i.e. follow all the rules and with real money so it was pretty exciting. it really amazes me how senior citizens play this as a hobby when i have extreme difficulty trying to absorb all the can's and cannot's. one day when i can figure out how many tai's and who's zhuang or which feng is it etc. i'll consider myself a genius. nonetheless i managed to hu a few times with 4 tai's and with a few lucky an kang's i was able to break even. shiqin won like 10 bucks while her cousin and friend lost money. i was told that if we didn't set max 5 tai's, people could lose up to thousands because of imba stuff like tian hu and shi san yao. shit man now i'm damn tempted to get a table and a mj set and play every night haha.
